Description:
Execute and facilitate the purchase requisition and purchase order process for R&D and indirect requirementsCoordinate with scientists and engineers to assure accuracy of purchased items and their specifications, determine alternate equivalent items when necessaryBasic communication with vendors regarding specs, prioritization, shipping discrepancies, etc.Assist in vendor and material data maintenance in ERP systemWork with finance and accounting to resolve pricing/invoicing discrepanciesAssist with shipping logistics/receiving when necessary
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.1-2 years work/internship experience in a similar role in the biotech/life science industryFamiliarity with biology/chemistry lab equipment and consumables, reagents, chemicalsExperience using an ERP system for procurement and inventory management (NetSuite preferred)
